Sumner's Div. 2 side hold a proud history in Canterbury Club Rugby.

 

It's where Scott "Razor" Robertson's vision for the club began.

 

The Wave as they were known, was notorious for their defence and good times they had off the pitch. After multiple undefeated seasons they were promoted to Div, 1 where the team became the current Premier Men's team.

 

Since then Div. 2 has had its ups and downs, but in 2022 there is a massive emphasis to get the newly named Tsunami pumping once again.
